Perfect Ginger Cocktails Series

A spicy and sometimes sweet ingredient, ginger can turn a good cocktail into a truly awe-inspiring one. Another bonus: It’s versatile. Not only is it delicious pickled with a plate of sushi — or, of course, in a classic whiskey and ginger ale — but the root can also be used in all types of tasty mixological ways.

INGREDIENTS IN THE GINGER RABBIT COCKTAIL

1⁄2 oz Star Anise and Black Tea Infused Simple Syrup

1/2 tea spoon of Ginger milk ginger

1 strip Lemon Peel

2 oz Basil Hayden's Bourbon

1⁄2 oz Crème Yvette

1 dash Angostura bitters

 

HOW TO MAKE THE GINGER RABBIT COCKTAIL

Add the syrup and Ginger Milk to a mixing glass.

Twist the lemon peel over the glass to extract the oils.

Drop the peel into the glass and muddle.

Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice.

Stir, and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
